With a single 100W medium-base bulb (not included), the maximum brightness is approximately 1600 lumens - enough for task lighting over a kitchen island or as ambient light in a small to medium room. Dimmable for softer light.

The fixture is dimmable, allowing you to adjust from bright task lighting to a warm, intimate glow. The open-bottom design casts light downward and slightly outward. For a warm ambiance, use 2700K-3000K LED or incandescent bulbs.
