Each cylindrical brass shade sits on a knurled band you can aim by hand, so you can push light toward a countertop, a table, or a piece of art. The Modern Brass finish over steel gives it an industrial-heritage look that suits both new builds and older homes.

Best for

Kitchens with 8-9 ft ceilings - close-to-ceiling mounting keeps sightlines open over an island or prep zone

Dining rooms where you want focused light on the table without a chandelier's drop

Hallways and foyers that need a wide, low-profile statement piece

Home offices or studios where adjustable directional light is useful

Not ideal for

Sloped ceilings - this fixture is not compatible with them

Rooms where you want a single bright downlight - the three shades spread light across a wide area rather than concentrating it

Bathrooms with direct shower exposure - the damp rating covers humid rooms, but not direct spray

How bright is it?

4800 lumens total across three integrated LED modules - roughly comparable to a bright 300W incandescent setup. That is enough to serve as primary lighting in a kitchen or dining room, not just as an accent.

Light color and feel

2700K warm white - a soft, golden tone similar to traditional incandescent. With a CRI of 90, colors render accurately, which matters in kitchens and over dining tables. Dimmable with ELV, TRIAC, or 0-10V dimmers.

Sizing and fit

53 inches wide by 10 inches tall, with a 5.25-inch round canopy. The wide, low profile suits rooms roughly 12 x 14 ft and larger. Because it mounts close to the ceiling, it works well in rooms with 8-9 ft ceilings where a pendant would hang too low.

Specifications

Part of the Vertex Collection

Country of Origin: VN

Primary Finish: Modern Brass

Primary Material: Steel

Fixture Type: Close-to-Ceiling

Canopy Shape: Round

Location Rating: CETL Damp

(3) 29W Integrated LED Bulb(s)

Voltage: 120/277V

Power Supply Location: Remote

Dimmer Type: ELV, TRIAC, 0-10 VOLT

LED Lumens: 4800

LED CRI: 90

LED Color Temperature: 2700

Battery Powered: False

Battery Included: False

Shade Material: Brass

Sloped Ceiling Compatible: Not Compatible

Certifications: UL

Warranty: 1 Year Limited Manufacturer

Overall Dimensions: 52.75 in (W/Dia.) x 10 in (H)

Item Weight: 5 lbs

Canopy Dimensions: 5.25 in (W) x 0.75 in (D)

Frequently asked

Is the bulb included? The LEDs are integrated into the fixture, so no separate bulbs are needed.

Is it dimmable, and what dimmer should I use? Yes - it works with ELV, TRIAC, or 0-10V dimmers.

Can I install this in a bathroom or outdoors? It carries a CETL Damp rating, so it is suitable for humid rooms like bathrooms, but not for direct shower exposure or outdoor use.

What's the warranty? 1-year limited manufacturer warranty.

Can I aim the shades? Yes - each cylindrical shade has a knurled adjustment band so you can direct light where you need it.

https://hausappeal.com/products/sonneman-vertex-53in-3-light-semi-flush-mount-modern-brass-and-brass-metal-kitchen-dining-room-53-x-10-in-model-7663-39-mb
