Sonneman Opalesce 50in 6-Light Semi-Flush Mount | Modern Black Brass and Smoke Glass | Dining Room & Living Room | 50 x 6.75 in | Model 7636-51-BBR

A 50-inch six-light semi-flush mount with hand-blown smoke glass shades and black brass metalwork, made for dining rooms and living rooms with standard-height ceilings.

Opalesce celebrates the craft of hand-blown glass. Each generously proportioned tinted shade is shaped by skilled glassblowers, creating bubbles around a softly illuminated center for a rich interplay of light, transparency, and form. The black brass finish and smoke glass keep the look modern and moody, while the close-to-ceiling profile suits rooms where a hanging fixture would feel too low.

Best for

• Dining rooms and living rooms with 8-9 ft ceilings, where a close-to-ceiling fixture keeps sightlines open
• Open-concept spaces that need a wide, even wash of light rather than a single bright point
• Modern and industrial interiors with black, brass, or dark wood finishes
• Rooms roughly 12 x 14 ft and larger, given the 50-inch diameter

Not ideal for

• Sloped ceilings - this fixture is not compatible with sloped ceiling mounting
• Small powder rooms or narrow hallways where a 50-inch diameter would overwhelm the space
• Anyone wanting a plug-in or battery-powered fixture - this is a hardwired, remote-power-supply design

How bright is it?

4,525 lumens total across six integrated LED modules - roughly comparable to several 60W incandescent bulbs combined. That is enough to serve as a primary ambient light in a large dining or living room, not just an accent.

Light color and feel

2700K warm white - a soft, golden tone similar to traditional incandescent, which flatters wood, brass, and warm-toned interiors. CRI 90 renders colors accurately. Dimmable with ELV, TRIAC, or 0-10V dimmers.

Sizing and fit

50 in diameter x 6.75 in high, with a 6 in round canopy. The low 6.75-inch profile works well under 8-9 ft ceilings. Weighs 28 lbs, so confirm your ceiling box and support can handle the load. Ships by truck freight; the carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery window.
