Savoy House Compton 1-Light Wall Sconce | Modern Warm Brass and White Fabric | Bedroom & Hallway Accent Light | Model L9-9150-1-322

A modern 1-light wall sconce with a conical white fabric shade and warm brass arm and backplate, sized for bedrooms, hallways, and powder rooms.

The Compton sconce pairs a conical white fabric shade with a round arm and backplate in warm brass. The warm metal gives the clean, contemporary shape a softer, more inviting feel. It is designed to work just as well on its own as it does in a row of two or three, so it is an easy way to bring symmetry to a wall.

Best for

• Bedrooms, mounted on either side of the bed as a reading light or as a pair flanking a dresser
• Hallways and stairwells where you want a repeated, evenly spaced accent light
• Powder rooms and bathrooms, since the fixture is damp area rated
• Living rooms and entryways, used solo or in groupings of two or three

Not ideal for

• Shower stalls, saunas, or any location with direct water spray - this sconce is damp rated, not wet rated
• Outdoor porches and patios - it is not rated for outdoor use
• Rooms where you need a primary light source; at 60W max this is an accent fixture

How bright is it?

Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer because it depends on the bulb you choose. With a 60W-equivalent LED it produces roughly 800 lumens - about as bright as a traditional 60W incandescent bulb. That is accent-level light, ideal for reading, ambience, or guiding a hallway, not for lighting a whole room on its own.

Light color and feel

Color temperature is set by your bulb, not the fixture. A 2700K-3000K warm white bulb pairs best with the warm brass finish and gives a soft, golden glow that flatters skin tones and wood furniture. The white fabric shade diffuses the bulb so you see a gentle wash of light rather than a bare point source.

Sizing and fit

The sconce is 11.75 in tall, 6 in wide, and extends 7.5 in from the wall. The backplate measures 4.72 in wide by 4.72 in tall. That footprint suits standard 8-9 ft ceilings and works well on narrow wall segments between windows or beside a bed. Install direction is up.
