Description
A 16-inch matte black pendant with a white ribbed glass shade, made for kitchen islands and dining rooms.
The Thibault pendant pairs minimalist steel with a white ribbed glass shade that creates a cool pleated effect, softening the light into a gentle glow. Its matte black finish and clean lines suit transitional and modern spaces, and the 8-foot cord lets you adjust the hanging height to fit your ceiling.
Best for
- Kitchen islands and breakfast bars, hung singly or in a row of two or three
- Dining rooms with 8-9 ft ceilings, where the 8 ft cord allows a comfortable hang height
- Transitional and modern interiors that need a clean, uncluttered focal point
- Entryways or foyers with higher ceilings
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or outdoor areas - rated for dry locations only
- Rooms where you need a large statement chandelier; this is a single-shade pendant
- Very low ceilings where a long drop would feel cramped
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulb you choose. It takes one 100W medium-base bulb, so with a standard 100W-equivalent LED you get roughly 1600 lumens - enough to light a kitchen island or dining table as a primary light over that area.
Light color and feel
Light color depends on the bulb. With a warm white bulb (2700K-3000K) the white ribbed glass diffuses a soft, even glow that flatters wood and neutral finishes. The ribbed texture softens glare, so it works well over seating areas. Dimmable when paired with a dimmable bulb and compatible dimmer switch.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 16 in L x 16 in W x 19.5 in H, with a 4.75 in square canopy and 8 ft cord. This size suits kitchen islands roughly 6-8 ft long and dining tables seating 4-6. Hang the bottom of the shade about 30-36 in above a countertop or table.
