Description
A farmhouse outdoor wall lantern for front porches and entryways, finished in matte black with distressed wood accents and clear seedy glass.
The Strader lantern pairs a matte black steel frame with distressed wood details and clear seedy glass panels for a warm, farmhouse-ready look. It mounts facing down to cast a welcoming glow over a doorway or landscape bed, and its medium-base socket accepts a standard bulb up to 100W.
Best for
- Front porches and entryways, flanking a door or mounted beside steps
- Garages and side doors where a single lantern adds curb appeal
- Covered patios and landscape walls that need a farmhouse accent
- Pairing two lanterns for a symmetrical entryway
Not ideal for
- Open, fully exposed locations with direct rain and no overhang
- Very small doorways where a 15.5 in tall lantern would overwhelm the trim
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulb you install. The fixture is rated for one 100W medium-base bulb, which can deliver roughly 1,600 lumens with a 100W incandescent or comparable LED - enough to light a doorway or porch area. Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer because the bulb is not included.
Light color and feel
Color temperature is determined by your chosen bulb. A 2700K-3000K warm white bulb suits the farmhouse look and flatters wood and brick exteriors. The clear seedy glass softens the light slightly for a warm, ambient glow.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 7.5 in wide x 8.5 in deep x 15.5 in high, with a 6 in cord. The 15.5 in height suits standard 8-10 ft entryway walls; check clearance above the door trim before mounting.
