Description
A 9-light transitional chandelier with opal etched ribbed glass shades, sized for dining rooms and foyers.
The Seymour chandelier pairs a clean matte black steel frame with nine opal etched ribbed glass shades that diffuse light into a soft, even glow. Its versatile transitional silhouette works equally well in a traditional dining room or a modern foyer, and the matte black finish keeps the look grounded without feeling heavy.
Best for
- Dining rooms 12 x 14 ft or larger with 9-10 ft ceilings
- Two-story foyers and entryways where a statement centerpiece is needed
- Open-concept living and dining spaces that need a single focal light
- Transitional and modern interiors with black or dark metal accents
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or covered outdoor areas - this fixture is rated for dry locations only
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 ft if you need the full 8 ft chain drop
- Small powder rooms where a 32.5 in diameter fixture would overwhelm the space
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulbs you choose. With nine 100W medium-base bulbs, this chandelier can deliver strong ambient light for a large dining room. Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer because bulbs are not included.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulbs installed. The opal etched ribbed glass softens and diffuses light, reducing glare and creating a warm, even wash across the room. Dimmable when paired with compatible dimmable bulbs and a standard dimmer switch.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 32.5 in L x 32.5 in W x 30.5 in H. The fixture includes an 8 ft chain and a 5 in W x 5 in L canopy, with a 12 ft cord. It suits dining rooms and foyers with ceilings 9 ft or higher; for 8 ft ceilings, shorten the chain so the bottom of the fixture sits about 30-36 in above the table.
