Description
A 17.5-inch earth black semi-flush mount with an eggshell fabric shade, made for bedrooms, hallways, foyers, and home offices.
Rigel is the quiet, classic choice. An earth black steel frame holds a drum-shaped eggshell fabric shade that spreads light evenly across the ceiling without glare. It sits close to the ceiling, so it works in rooms where a full pendant would feel crowded.
Best for
- Bedrooms with 8-9 ft ceilings, centered over the bed
- Hallways and foyers where a low-profile overhead light is needed
- Living rooms and home offices that want soft, even ambient light
- Rooms with 8 ft ceilings where a pendant would hang too low
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or covered outdoor areas - rated for dry locations only
- Rooms needing bright directional task light - the fabric shade diffuses output
- Large open rooms over 200 sq ft where a single semi-flush will feel underpowered
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer. With three 100W medium-base bulbs, expect roughly 4,000-4,800 lumens with standard LEDs - enough to light a bedroom or hallway comfortably, though the fabric shade softens the output.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulb you choose. The eggshell fabric shade warms and diffuses the light, so 2700K-3000K bulbs give a cozy, residential feel. Dimmable with a compatible dimmer and dimmable bulbs.
Sizing and fit
17.5 in W x 17.5 in D x 10.5 in H. Canopy is 5.75 in W x 5.75 in L. The low 10.5 in profile suits 8-9 ft ceilings. At 4.95 lbs, it is a straightforward install on a standard ceiling box.
