Description
A 36-inch, 5-light island chandelier in matte black steel, designed for kitchen islands and dining rooms that need understated, transitional style.
The Prescott collection pairs a clean, linear silhouette with sleek candle sleeves for a look that feels tailored rather than fussy. The matte black finish keeps it modern and easy to mix with other hardware, while the open frame lets the bulbs take center stage. It is a natural fit over a long kitchen island or a rectangular dining table.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 6 ft or longer, hung as the main task light over a prep and seating area
- Dining rooms with rectangular tables 60-72 in wide
- Open-concept kitchens where a linear fixture defines the cooking zone
- Transitional and modern-farmhouse interiors with black or mixed-metal accents
Not ideal for
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 ft if you plan to use the full 4 ft chain drop
- Small breakfast nooks under 6 ft wide - the 36 in span will overwhelm the table
- Spaces where you want a fully enclosed shade to hide the bulbs
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer. With five 15W candelabra-base bulbs, this fixture delivers bright, even task lighting for a kitchen island or dining table - it is designed as a primary light source for the room, not a subtle accent.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulbs you choose; the fixture itself does not set a Kelvin rating. For a warm, inviting kitchen, pair it with 2700K-3000K dimmable LED candelabra bulbs. Dimmability depends on your bulbs and wall dimmer - use dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer for smooth control.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 36 in wide x 10 in deep x 25 in high, with a 4 ft chain and 8 ft cord. The 10.5 in W x 4.75 in L canopy covers a standard junction box. For a kitchen island, hang the bottom of the fixture about 30-36 in above the countertop; over a dining table, 30-34 in above the table surface works well.
