Description
A 28-inch five-light chandelier in brushed gold with flip-up or flip-down white metal shades, made for dining rooms and foyers.
The Penley blends transitional and industrial style with a warm brushed gold finish and distinctive white metal shades. Flip the shades up for a brighter, more direct glow or down for softer ambient light - the included bulb shields diffuse the output either way. It is a versatile centerpiece that works in both modern and traditional homes.
Best for
- Dining rooms with 8- to 9-foot ceilings, centered over a 48- to 60-inch table
- Foyers and entryways where a 28-inch round chandelier fills the overhead space
- Open-concept living and dining areas that need a warm, adjustable light source
- Bedrooms with vaulted or standard ceilings, hung as a statement piece
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or covered outdoor areas - this fixture is rated for dry locations only
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 feet if you need the full 8-foot cord length
- Spaces where you want a very bright, single-direction light - the shades diffuse output for ambiance
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer. With five 40W G9 bulbs, expect a moderate ambient glow suitable for dining and conversation, not task-level brightness.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the G9 bulbs you choose; the manufacturer does not specify a Kelvin rating. The white metal shades and bulb shields soften the light and reduce glare, and the fixture is not listed as dimmable - check your bulb and dimmer compatibility before assuming dimming.
Sizing and fit
Measures 28 inches in diameter and 16.25 inches high, with an 8-foot cord and a 5-inch canopy. It suits dining rooms and foyers with 8- to 9-foot ceilings; add a downrod or shorten the cord for lower ceilings.
