Description
A 9-light chandelier with opal etched glass shades and a brushed nickel finish, sized for dining rooms and foyers.
The Nielson chandelier brings transitional style to your home with clean lines and a brushed nickel steel frame. Nine opal etched glass shades diffuse the light softly, creating a warm and inviting glow. It's a versatile piece that works well in both traditional and modern settings.
Best for
- Dining rooms with standard 8-9 ft ceilings, centered over a table
- Foyers and entryways where a statement piece is needed
- Living rooms with high ceilings, as a secondary light source
- Open-concept spaces that need a central focal point
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or outdoor areas - this fixture is rated for dry locations only
- Rooms with ceilings lower than 8 ft if you need the full 8 ft chain length
- Small spaces where a 28.5-inch diameter would overwhelm the room
How bright is it?
With nine 100W bulbs (not included), this chandelier can produce up to 9000 lumens - bright enough to serve as the primary light source in a large dining room or foyer. For softer ambiance, use lower-wattage bulbs or a dimmer.
Light color and feel
The light color depends on the bulbs you choose. For a warm, inviting glow similar to traditional incandescent, use 2700K-3000K bulbs. The opal etched glass shades diffuse the light evenly, reducing glare and creating a soft, comfortable atmosphere.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 28.5 inches in diameter and 24.75 inches in height. It comes with 8 feet of chain and a 12-foot cord, allowing adjustable hanging height. This size works well in dining rooms that are at least 12 x 12 feet, and in foyers with ceilings 9 feet or higher.
