Description
A 25-inch round chandelier with five opal etched glass shades, finished in brushed nickel - made for dining rooms and foyers.
Nielson keeps things clean and transitional: A simple steel frame, five evenly spaced opal etched glass shades, and a cool brushed nickel finish that reads as satin silver. The glass diffuses the bulbs so the light is soft and even rather than glaring. It's the kind of chandelier that works with both modern and traditional furniture, which is why it's a common pick for dining rooms and entryways.
Best for
- Dining rooms with a round or square table 48-60 in wide
- Two-story or standard foyers and entryways
- Bedrooms and living rooms where you want a central, softly diffused light
- Transitional and contemporary interiors with brushed nickel or stainless accents
Not ideal for
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 ft if you need the full 4 ft chain drop
- Very large great rooms - at 25 in wide this suits a mid-size room, not a grand space
- Anyone wanting a warm brass or gold tone; this finish is cool silver
How bright is it?
Five 100W medium-base bulbs (not included) give you up to roughly 8,000 lumens with standard LED equivalents - enough to light a dining room or foyer as the primary light. Brightness depends on the bulbs you choose.
Light color and feel
Color temperature is set by your bulbs, not the fixture. With 3000K warm white LEDs you get a soft, golden glow that flatters wood and skin tones; 4000K reads crisper. The opal etched glass diffuses the source so you don't see hot spots or bare bulbs from below.
Sizing and fit
Overall 25 in W x 25 in D x 15.5 in H, with a 4 ft chain and 8 ft cord. Hang the bottom of the shades about 30-34 in above a dining table, or 7 ft above the floor in a foyer. The 0.75 in W x 4.75 in L canopy covers a standard junction box.
