Description
A 3-light pendant with opal etched glass shades, sized for dining rooms, kitchen islands, and foyers.
The Nielson pendant brings clean transitional styling to medium and large rooms. Its brushed nickel steel frame supports three opal etched glass shades that diffuse light evenly across a table or island. The 17-inch width gives it real presence without feeling heavy, making it a natural fit over a dining table or in an entryway.
Best for
- Dining rooms with 6-8 seat tables - hangs at a comfortable height over the table center
- Kitchen islands 6 ft or longer that need broad, even task lighting
- Foyers and entryways with standard 8-10 ft ceilings
- Open-concept living spaces where a mid-size statement pendant fits the scale
Not ideal for
- Small powder rooms or tight hallways - the 17 in width needs breathing room
- Rooms needing very bright overall illumination - three 100W bulbs provide good task light but not whole-room brightness
- High or vaulted ceilings where the 4 ft chain may not reach
How bright is it?
Uses three 100W medium-base bulbs (not included). With 100W-equivalent LEDs, expect roughly 4800 lumens total - bright enough to light a dining table or kitchen island as the primary light source.
Light color and feel
Light color depends on the bulbs installed. The opal etched glass diffuses output for a soft, even glow with minimal glare. Warm white bulbs (2700K-3000K) create a welcoming dining atmosphere. Dimmable when used with a compatible dimmer and dimmable bulbs.
Sizing and fit
Measures 17 in L x 17 in W x 13.5 in H with a 4 ft chain and 8 ft cord. The 4.75 in canopy fits standard junction boxes. Best suited to ceilings 8-10 ft high; adjust the chain at installation to set the right height above your table or island.
