Description
A 34-inch linear island chandelier for kitchen islands and dining tables, finished in earth black with clear glass caged shades.
The Ludlow island chandelier spreads four lights along a slim linear frame, so it lights a long counter or table evenly instead of pooling in one spot. Each clear glass shade is wrapped in an open steel cage, keeping the industrial look while letting light project freely. The earth black finish is a soft matte near-black that pairs well with white cabinetry and warm wood.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 5-7 ft long, hung centered over the counter
- Dining rooms and long rectangular tables
- Open-concept kitchens where a linear fixture defines the prep area
- Industrial, loft, and modern farmhouse interiors
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or covered outdoor areas - this fixture is rated for dry locations only
- Small rooms or round tables where a linear shape would look out of place
- Low ceilings under 8 ft if you need a long drop - the fixture is 11.75 in tall before the cord
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on your bulbs. It takes four medium-base bulbs up to 100W each - with standard 100W bulbs that is roughly 6,400 lumens total, plenty to light a kitchen island or dining table as a primary light. Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer because bulbs are not included.
Light color and feel
Color temperature comes from your bulbs. A 2700K-3000K warm white set gives a soft golden glow that flatters wood and stone; a 4000K set reads crisper for task lighting over a prep counter. Dimmability depends on the bulbs and dimmer you pair with it.
Sizing and fit
The chandelier measures 33.5 in wide x 5 in deep x 11.75 in high, with a 16 in x 4.75 in canopy and 8 ft of cord. That width suits islands and tables roughly 5-7 ft long. The 8 ft cord gives plenty of adjustment for 9-10 ft ceilings; trim it for lower ceilings.
