Description
A 13-inch semi-flush ceiling light for bedrooms, foyers, and dining rooms, finished in earth black with a clear glass caged shade.
The Ludlow semi-flush mount drops a few inches below the ceiling, adding a bit more presence than a flush mount while still clearing standard doorways and sightlines. Three candelabra bulbs sit inside a clear glass shade held by an open steel cage, so light spreads freely. The earth black finish is a soft matte near-black that fits industrial and modern farmhouse rooms.
Best for
- Bedrooms and guest rooms with 8-9 ft ceilings
- Foyers and entryways where a slight drop adds interest
- Dining rooms and breakfast areas that need moderate overhead light
- Industrial, loft, and modern farmhouse interiors
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or covered outdoor areas - this fixture is rated for dry locations only
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 ft where the drop could feel low
- Large open spaces needing a high-output primary light - three 15W candelabra bulbs give a moderate glow
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on your bulbs. It takes three candelabra-base bulbs up to 15W each, giving a soft to moderate light suited to a bedroom, foyer, or small dining area rather than a large living room. Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer because bulbs are not included.
Light color and feel
Color temperature is set by your bulbs. A 2700K-3000K warm white set gives a cozy golden tone for bedrooms and dining rooms; a 4000K set reads crisper for foyers. Dimmability depends on the bulbs and dimmer you use.
Sizing and fit
At 13.25 in wide x 13.25 in deep x 9.5 in high, this semi-flush mount works well in rooms with 8-9 ft ceilings and fits spaces roughly 10x10 ft to 12x12 ft. The 5 in square canopy covers a standard ceiling box.
