Description
A single-light wall sconce with a clear caged glass shade and earth black finish, made for bedrooms, hallways, and other spots that need a focused accent light.
The Ludlow sconce takes the collection's industrial cage idea and scales it down to a wall light. The steel frame is finished in earth black - a matte charcoal that reads like wrought iron - and the clear glass shade lets the bulb show through. It can be mounted with the shade facing up or down, so you can aim the light where you need it.
Best for
- Bedrooms, mounted beside the bed as a reading light or in place of a table lamp
- Hallways and stairwells, spaced every 6-8 ft for a run of accent light
- Entryways and mudrooms, flanking a door or mirror
- Industrial, modern farmhouse, and transitional interiors with black or dark metal hardware
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or covered outdoor areas - this fixture is rated for dry locations only
- Rooms that need broad, even illumination - a single 100W sconce is an accent light, not a primary room light
- Spaces where you want a fully diffused glow - the clear glass leaves the bulb visible
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer. With one 100W medium-base bulb, it produces a focused pool of light - think reading light or hallway accent, not a whole-room light. A 60-100W-equivalent LED bulb is usually plenty for bedside or hallway use.
Light color and feel
Color temperature comes from your bulb. Choose 2700K-3000K for a warm, cozy bedside glow, or 3500K-4000K for a crisper industrial look. The clear glass shows the bulb, so a decorative Edison-style bulb suits the design.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 5 in W x 7.25 in D x 12.75 in H, with a 6 in cord and a 1.72 lb weight. The 7.25-inch projection means it stands out from the wall noticeably, so leave clearance in tight hallways. It installs up or down and works with standard 8-9 ft ceilings.

Frequently asked
Is the bulb included? No. It takes one 100W medium-base bulb, sold separately.
Is it dimmable, and what dimmer should I use? Dimmability depends on the bulb and wall dimmer you install; the fixture itself does not include a dimmer. Use a dimmable bulb with a compatible dimmer switch.
Can I install this in a bathroom or outdoors? No. It is rated for dry locations only, so it is not suitable for bathrooms with shower exposure or any outdoor area.
What's the warranty? Warranty information is not specified in the source data; check with Quoizel for current terms.
Can I mount it pointing down? Yes - the install position is listed as up/down, so you can flip the shade to aim light upward or downward.
