Description
A modern-industrial 1-light outdoor lantern that also works indoors as a wall sconce or bathroom vanity light.
The Hyde lantern collection blends modern and industrial style with a tapered metal shade in matte black with brass metal accents. Made from Coastal Armour aluminum, it is durable and marine grade, backed by a 5-year limited warranty. While designed primarily for outdoor use, Hyde also makes a welcome addition inside the home as a wall sconce or over a bathroom mirror.
Best for
- Front porches and entryways needing a sleek, modern wall light
- Covered patios and outdoor living areas
- Bathrooms as a vanity light over a mirror
- Hallways or stairwells as an industrial wall sconce
Not ideal for
- Uncovered locations with direct rain exposure - while durable, the manufacturer does not specify a wet rating
- Large rooms needing bright illumination - one 100W bulb provides accent-level light
- Traditional or ornate exteriors - the look is modern and industrial
How bright is it?
Uses one 100W medium base bulb (not included). With a standard 100W-equivalent LED bulb, expect roughly 1600 lumens - enough for accent lighting, not for lighting a large driveway or patio.
Light color and feel
Light color depends on the bulb you choose. For a warm, welcoming exterior, choose 2700K-3000K; for a crisper look, 4000K works well. The metal shade directs light downward. This fixture is not dimmable as specified by the manufacturer.
Sizing and fit
Measures 8.5 in W x 9.25 in D x 11.75 in H and weighs 2.1 lbs. The 6 in cord provides a short drop. Install position is down.
