Quoizel Gibson 42in 5-Light Island Chandelier | Glam Matte Black and Clear Crystal Glass | Kitchen Island & Dining Room | Model GIB542MBK

A 42-inch linear island chandelier with clear beveled crystal shades, built to hang over a long kitchen island or dining table.

The Gibson island light stretches across the counter with five crystal shades that scatter light into layered highlights and shadows. A matte black frame keeps the look clean and modern, so the sparkle reads glamorous rather than fussy. It is part of a full Gibson collection, so you can carry the same look into a flush mount, pendant, or bath light elsewhere in the home.

Best for

• Kitchen islands 6-8 ft long, hung as the primary light over the counter
• Dining rooms with 8-9 ft ceilings, centered over a long rectangular table
• Open-concept kitchens where a linear fixture defines the prep area
• Contemporary, transitional, and luxe interiors with black or glass accents

Not ideal for

• Small kitchens or narrow galley layouts - at 42 in wide, it needs a long surface beneath it
• Rooms where you want a single bright downlight; the crystal shades are more about sparkle than task light
• Very low ceilings if you need the full downrod length

How bright is it?

Five 100W medium-base bulbs give this island light plenty of output for a kitchen or dining area. Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer and depends on the bulbs you choose - 100W-equivalent LEDs will feel bright and even across a long counter.

Light color and feel

Color temperature depends on the bulbs you install. Warm white (2700-3000K) flatters wood and black interiors; cooler white (3500-4000K) makes crystal read crisper. Dimmability is not specified by the manufacturer - check your bulb and dimmer compatibility before installing.

Sizing and fit

Overall dimensions are 42 in W x 10.5 in D x 8.25 in H, with an 18 in W x 4.5 in L canopy and an 8 ft cord. The linear shape suits islands and long tables; the adjustable downrod lets you set hanging height for standard 8-9 ft ceilings. At 16.94 lbs, plan for a two-person install.
