Description
A 1-light outdoor wall lantern in matte black with clear glass, sized for entryways, porches, and garage walls.
The Garner lantern keeps things clean and architectural: A bold matte black aluminum frame with clear glass panels that let the bulb shine through with a bright, welcoming glow. It is a modern silhouette that still reads timeless, so it suits everything from new-build exteriors to traditional porches. Mounts facing down.
Best for
- Front entryways and porches, mounted in pairs flanking the door
- Garage walls and side doors where you want a clean, modern light
- Patios and outdoor living areas that need accent lighting
- Modern, transitional, and industrial exteriors with black or dark hardware
Not ideal for
- Indoor use - this is an outdoor-rated wall lantern
- Spaces where you need a wide wash of light; at 1 x 60W it is accent lighting, not area lighting
- Very small walls or tight corners where a 16.5 in tall lantern would feel oversized
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer. With one 60W medium-base bulb it produces accent-level light - enough to light a doorway or porch step, not enough to illuminate a large yard.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulbs you choose. The clear glass panels let the bulb read crisply, so 2700K-3000K bulbs feel warm and welcoming at an entry, while cooler bulbs read more modern. Dimmability depends on the bulbs and dimmer switch used; the fixture itself does not include a dimmer.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 7.25 in L x 8.5 in W x 16.5 in H, with a 6 in cord. The 16.5 in height suits standard 8-9 ft exterior walls; mount roughly 66-72 in above the ground for a typical entry door. Mounts facing down.
