Description
A 50-inch six-light semi-flush mount in brushed gold with white-lined metal shades, sized for kitchen islands and dining rooms.
Foreland takes the semi-flush silhouette and stretches it into a long, linear form that sits close to the ceiling. The brushed gold steel frame holds six metal shades, each painted white on the inside so the light bounces down cleanly instead of glaring. It is a contemporary piece with a warm metallic edge - modern without feeling cold.
Best for
- Kitchen islands and peninsulas 6 ft and longer, centered over the counter
- Dining rooms with a long rectangular table
- Open-concept living and dining spaces that need one continuous light source
- Rooms with 8-9 ft ceilings, where a semi-flush mount keeps headroom clear
Not ideal for
- Covered patios or bathrooms with direct shower spray - this fixture is rated for dry, indoor locations only
- Small rooms or narrow galley kitchens under 6 ft wide, where a 50 in fixture will overwhelm the space
- Ceilings under 8 ft if you want a pendant look - this mounts close to the ceiling by design
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer. With six 100W medium-base bulbs (not included), expect roughly 9000-9600 total lumens - bright enough to serve as the primary light for a large kitchen or dining room. Use a dimmer to bring it down for evening meals.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulbs you choose. The white-painted interiors of the metal shades reflect light downward and reduce glare, so 3000K warm white bulbs give a clean, even kitchen light. The fixture is dimmable when paired with dimmable bulbs and a compatible wall dimmer.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 50 in wide x 21 in deep x 14 in high, with a 10.5 in W x 0.75 in L canopy. At 50 in wide it suits islands and tables roughly 6 ft and longer; leave about 30-36 in between the bottom of the fixture and the countertop. It weighs 11.44 lbs and includes an 8 ft cord.
