Description
A 16-inch flush mount ceiling light with a matte black finish and clear white glass shade, sized for hallways, bedrooms, and entryways.
The Emmett pairs clean, modern lines with a low-profile silhouette that sits just 5.25 inches from the ceiling. The matte black steel frame is softened by a clear white glass shade that diffuses light into a warm, even glow. It is a quiet, versatile piece that works in transitional and contemporary interiors alike.
Best for
- Hallways and entryways where a low-profile ceiling light is needed
- Bedrooms up to roughly 12 x 12 ft as a soft ambient light
- Kitchens and breakfast nooks that need general illumination
- Living rooms and dens with 8 ft or higher ceilings
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or covered outdoor areas - rated for dry locations only
- Very large rooms where a single 16-inch flush mount would leave corners dark
- Spaces where a statement chandelier or pendant is the design goal
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer. With three 60W medium-base bulbs, this fixture delivers roughly the brightness of a standard three-bulb ceiling light - suitable for ambient lighting in a hallway, bedroom, or kitchen, not as a primary light for a large open room.
Light color and feel
Light color depends on the bulbs you choose. The clear white glass shade diffuses the glow evenly and works well with warm white (2700K-3000K) bulbs for a soft, inviting feel. Dimmability depends on the bulbs and dimmer switch used; the fixture itself is not listed as dimmable.
Sizing and fit
Overall dimensions are 16 in L x 16 in W x 5.25 in H, with a 14.75 in W x 14.75 in L canopy. The low 5.25-inch profile suits standard 8 ft ceilings and rooms where headroom matters. Weighs 7.5 lbs.
