Description
A 16-inch outdoor wall lantern for front entries and porches, finished in earth black steel with clear beveled glass.
Eastover pairs straight lines with a transitional silhouette, so it reads clean and architectural without feeling cold. The earth black finish is a soft, deep charcoal-black that hides road dust and weather well, while clear beveled glass panels let the exposed bulb do the decorative work. Three mounting points on the backplate let you set the lantern at the height that suits your door.
Best for
- Front entries and covered porches, flanking a single or double door
- Garage side doors and mudroom entries that need a defined pool of light
- Transitional and modern-farmhouse exteriors in earth black, bronze, or dark siding
- Pairing in twos or fours along a facade for a matched look
Not ideal for
- Open, fully exposed locations with no roof overhang - the clear glass and open frame offer no shielding from direct driving rain
- Wide two-car garages or long driveways where a single 100W lantern will not cover the span
- Anyone wanting a frosted or diffused look - the beveled glass shows the bulb clearly
How bright is it?
One 100W medium-base bulb (not included) gives roughly 1,600 lumens with a standard incandescent - bright enough to light a doorway and a few feet of walkway, not a whole yard. Swap in an LED for the same light at a fraction of the wattage.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulb you choose. A 2700K-3000K bulb gives the warm, welcoming glow most people want at an entry; a 4000K bulb reads crisper and more security-oriented. The clear beveled glass throws a slightly faceted pattern on the wall.
Sizing and fit
Measures 6 in wide x 7 in deep x 16 in high and projects 7 in from the wall. At 16 in tall it suits standard 8-9 ft entry walls; mount roughly 66-72 in from the ground for a single door. The three-point backplate allows height adjustment to line up with siding courses or existing junction boxes.
