Quoizel Dorothea 16in 1-Light Wall Sconce | Gold Leaf Steel and Opal Etched Glass | Bedroom & Hallway Accent Light | Model DOT8606GFL

A single-light wall sconce with a gold leaf finish and opal etched glass shade, sized for bedrooms, hallways, and powder rooms.

The Dorothea sconce is part of Quoizel's Dorothea collection, where sculptural steel detailing is inspired by blooming petals and finished in a warm gold leaf. The opal etched glass shade softens the bulb's output into a gentle, even glow rather than a harsh point of light. It is a romantic, classic look that suits traditional and transitional interiors without feeling heavy.

Best for

• Bedrooms, mounted beside the bed as a reading sconce or flanking a dresser mirror
• Hallways and stairwells where a soft accent light is wanted at eye level
• Powder rooms and bathrooms, installed up or down depending on the look you want
• Living rooms used as a pair to frame artwork or a fireplace

Not ideal for

• Large rooms that need a primary light source - at one 100W bulb this is an accent fixture, not a room-filling light
• Spaces where you want a bare, industrial look - the opal glass and petal detailing are distinctly traditional

How bright is it?

Brightness depends on the bulb you install. It takes one medium-base bulb up to 100W, which is roughly 1600 lumens with a 100W-equivalent LED - enough to light a bedside or hallway zone, not enough to be the only light in a large room. Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer because the bulb is not included.

Light color and feel

Color temperature is set by the bulb you choose, not by the fixture. The opal etched glass diffuses whatever you install into a soft, even wash, so a warm white bulb (2700K-3000K) will read golden and flattering against the gold leaf finish. Dimmability depends on the bulb and wall dimmer used; the fixture itself does not include a dimmer.

Sizing and fit

Overall dimensions are 6 in wide x 6.75 in deep x 16 in high, with a 6 in cord. The 16 in height and 6.75 in projection make it a good fit for standard 8-9 ft ceilings and for tight wall spaces beside a bed or mirror. It can be mounted with the shade facing up or down.

Frequently asked

Is the bulb included? No. It takes one medium-base bulb up to 100W, sold separately.

Is it dimmable, and what dimmer should I use? The fixture has no built-in dimmer. Dimming works if you pair a dimmable bulb with a compatible wall dimmer; the manufacturer does not specify a dimmer model.

Can I install this in a bathroom or outdoors? It is ETL Listed and the collection is described for bathrooms, powder rooms, and hallways. No wet or outdoor rating is stated, so it should not be used in exposed outdoor locations.

What's the warranty? Warranty terms are not specified in the supplied product data.

Can it be mounted pointing down? Yes - the install position is listed as up/down, so you can orient the shade either way.
