Description
A large outdoor post lantern for driveways, walkways, and garden paths, finished in earth black with clear seedy glass.
Darius is built for weather that ruins lesser fixtures. The Coastal Armour resin body will never rust or corrode and is stain-resistant, so it holds its earth black finish through salt air, rain, and sun. Clear seedy glass adds texture and diffuses the bulb just enough to soften glare while still throwing useful light across a path.
Best for
- Driveways and walkways, mounted on a post to light the path
- Garden paths and yard perimeters
- Coastal homes that need rust-proof exterior hardware
- Paired with other Darius lanterns for a coordinated exterior
Not ideal for
- Wall mounting - this is a post-mount lantern and requires a post (not included)
- Uncovered locations where the fixture would sit in direct, driving rain
- Low-clearance areas where the 20in height would crowd the space
How bright is it?
One 150W medium-base bulb (not included). Lumen output depends on the bulb you choose - a 150W-equivalent LED typically lands around 2,400 lumens, plenty for a driveway or walkway. This is a focused accent light, not a floodlight.
Light color and feel
Color temperature is set by the bulb, not the fixture. For a warm, welcoming entry, choose a 2700K-3000K bulb; for a crisper, more modern look, 4000K works well. Dimmable only if you install a dimmable bulb and dimmer switch.
Sizing and fit
9.5 in long x 11.25 in wide x 20 in tall, 6.1 lbs. Designed for post mounting; post sold separately.
