Description
A 19.5-inch sculptural pendant with a twisted steel sphere frame and opal etched glass shades, for kitchen islands and dining rooms.
The Blacksmith pendant turns structural steel into something almost organic: Sweeping bands in an old black finish twist into a rounded cage that cradles four opal etched glass shades. The result is a warm, candlelit glow with a hand-forged, artisan feel. It works indoors and in covered outdoor areas, so it can carry a look from the kitchen out to a covered patio.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 7-9 ft long, hung singly or in a pair
- Dining rooms and breakfast nooks with 8-9 ft ceilings
- Covered patios and porches where a sculptural focal point is wanted
- Industrial, rustic, and modern farmhouse interiors
Not ideal for
- Exposed, uncovered outdoor locations with direct rain
- Very low ceilings - the pendant body is 23 in tall plus chain
- Anyone wanting a bright, even wash of light; the opal shades give a soft, moody glow
How bright is it?
Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer. Four 15W candelabra-base bulbs produce a warm, moderate glow - ideal as an accent or dining light rather than a primary task light.
Light color and feel
Color temperature depends on the bulbs you choose. The opal etched glass diffuses the light into a soft, even glow that flatters skin tones and wood finishes. Pair with 2700K-3000K warm white bulbs for a cozy, candlelit feel.
