With a halogen bulb, the light is warm (around 3000K) and crisp, similar to traditional incandescent. If using an LED MR16, color temperature can vary; choose 2700K-3000K for warm ambiance or 4000K for cooler task lighting. Not dimmable unless paired with a dimmable bulb and compatible dimmer.
