How bright is it?

Brightness depends on the bulb used (not included). With a standard 60W incandescent bulb (approx. 800 lumens), it provides enough light for ambient illumination in small to medium rooms. For a softer glow, use a 40W bulb (approx. 450 lumens). LED bulbs can achieve similar brightness with lower wattage.
