Description
A 18-inch mini shovel for tending fireplaces, wood stoves, and outdoor fire pits, finished in black powder-coated wrought iron.
Part of the Minuteman rope-style tool line, this mini shovel combines a classic wrought-iron look with a durable graphite powder coating that stands up to both indoor and outdoor use. The compact 18-inch length makes it easy to handle for quick ash and ember cleanup without taking up much storage space.
Best for
- Fireplaces and wood stoves in living rooms and family rooms, kept beside the hearth for convenient ash scooping
- Outdoor fire pits on patios or decks, stored in a tool stand or hung on a hook
- Camping or cabin use where a lightweight, portable shovel is needed for fire maintenance
- As a spare or replacement tool for an existing fireplace tool set
Not ideal for
- Heavy-duty digging or gardening – this is a fireplace shovel, not a garden tool
- Spaces where a longer reach is needed – the 18-inch length is best for close-up hearth work; consider the 28-inch or 36-inch versions for deeper fireboxes
Style and finish
The shovel features a classic rope-style handle and a black powder-coated finish over wrought iron. The graphite coating gives it a matte, slightly textured look that resists rust and blends with traditional, rustic, or industrial decor.
Materials and care
