Description
A traditional European-style post lantern for walkways and driveways, made of die-cast aluminum in Earth Tone with water glass.
Whittier Cast brings old-world character to the top of a post. The Earth Tone finish is a warm brown with depth, and the water glass shade softens the bulb into a gentle glow. Die-cast aluminum construction suits cottage, Tudor, and traditional landscapes that want a lantern silhouette along a path.
Best for
- Walkways and garden paths, mounted on a post to light the way
- Driveway entrances and yard borders
- Traditional, cottage, and European-style landscapes
- Paired along a path for evenly spaced lighting
Not ideal for
- Wall mounting - this is a post lantern and needs a compatible post (sold separately)
- Large estate driveways that need a bigger statement - at 17 in tall this is a modest accent
- Buyers wanting an included bulb - it is sold separately
How bright is it?
Rated at 1150 lumens with a 100W bulb - roughly as bright as a bright standard porch light, enough to light a path and its immediate surroundings, not a whole yard.
Light color and feel
2700K warm white gives a soft, golden tone similar to traditional incandescent - welcoming along a path and flattering to landscaping. Dimmable with a standard dimmer.
Sizing and fit
8 in wide and 17 in tall. Works on standard post tops along paths and driveways; for very tall posts or wide driveways consider pairing several.
