Description
A 1-light outdoor wall lantern in black die cast aluminum with clear glass - built for porches, entryways, and Mediterranean-style exteriors.
The Westlake Cast lantern pairs a classic black finish with clear glass panels, so the bulb reads as a warm point of light rather than a hidden source. The die cast aluminum body stands up to weather, and the silhouette leans traditional Mediterranean - a good match for stucco, stone, and arched doorways.
Best for
- Front entryways and porches, flanking a door at eye level
- Garages and side doors where a single lantern marks the entrance
- Mediterranean, Spanish colonial, and traditional stucco exteriors
- Covered patios and breezeways that need a warm accent light
Not ideal for
- Spaces where you need broad area lighting - this is an accent lantern, not a floodlight
- Very large facades where a single 8-inch-wide lantern would look undersized
How bright is it?
Rated at 1150 lumens with the specified bulb - roughly the output of a bright 75W incandescent. That is enough to light a doorway and a few feet of walkway, not a whole yard.
Light color and feel
2700K warm white gives a soft, golden glow that suits traditional exteriors and flatters brick, stone, and wood. Dimmable with standard dimmers when paired with compatible bulbs.
Sizing and fit
8 in wide x 15 in tall with an 8 in extension from the wall; the backplate is 4.5 x 4.5 in and the center of the outlet sits 11 in from the top. Works well on single doors and modest entry walls.
