Description
A tall outdoor wall lantern in rust patina finish with seedy glass, sized for entries and porches that want Mediterranean character.
The Senator lantern is cast in die-cast aluminum with a rust patina finish that reads warm and aged against brick, stucco, and stone. The seedy glass shade has a subtle texture that softens the light and hides the bulb. At 22.5 in tall it makes a strong vertical statement beside a door.
Best for
- Front entries and porches beside a tall door, mounted about 15.5 in above the outlet center
- Mediterranean, Spanish colonial, and traditional exteriors
- Covered patios and garage walls exposed to weather - it is wet rated
- Pairing two lanterns to flank a wide entry or garage door
Not ideal for
- Indoor use - this is an outdoor fixture
- Low porch ceilings where a 22.5 in tall lantern would crowd the space
- Anyone wanting a bright white light - the seedy glass casts a warm tone
How bright is it?
1150 lumens with the specified 100W bulb - roughly the output of a 100W incandescent, enough to light a doorway or porch area clearly. The bulb is not included.
Light color and feel
2700K warm white - a soft, golden tone that suits the rust patina finish and seedy glass. Dimmable with a standard dimmer if you want to soften it in the evening.
Sizing and fit
7 in wide by 22.5 in tall, with a 7.5 in extension from the wall. The backplate measures 4.25 in W x 6.25 in H, and the mounting point sits 15.5 in from the center of the outlet. Best scaled for a single door or a pair flanking a garage.
