Description
A 17.5-inch outdoor wall lantern in black oxide die cast aluminum with clear water glass over a satin white inner cylinder.
Oakville pairs a bold Mediterranean silhouette with a two-layer glass design: clear water glass outside, satin white glass inside, so the light is gently diffused instead of glaring. The black oxide finish over die cast aluminum gives it a solid, architectural presence.
Best for
- Front entries and porches on Mediterranean and Spanish-style homes
- Garage doors and side entries needing a mid-size lantern
- Covered patios and porticos
- Anyone wanting softer, diffused light rather than bare-bulb glare
Not ideal for
- Very small doorways - at 10 in wide and 12 in deep it needs some wall room
- Buyers wanting an integrated LED - this takes one 100W medium base bulb, sold separately
How bright is it?
Rated for up to 100W with a medium base bulb - a strong porch light that can clearly illuminate a doorway and walkway. Lumen output depends on the bulb you choose; the manufacturer does not specify a fixed figure.
Light color and feel
Light color follows your bulb choice. The satin white inner glass diffuses the beam for a softer, more even glow than clear glass alone, which suits warm white bulbs on a traditional exterior.
Sizing and fit
10 in wide x 17.5 in tall with a 12 in extension and a 4.72 x 8.66 in backplate. The 6.5 lb weight is manageable for most exterior walls; mount to solid framing.
