Description
A 14-inch wet-rated outdoor wall lantern in an Earth Tone finish with water glass, sized for porches, entryways, and garage walls.
The Morrow Bay VX collection is built from Vivex, a material Maxim describes as twice the strength of resin, non-corrosive, and UV resistant. The Earth Tone finish reads as a warm brown with a hand-finished, slightly weathered look, and the water glass shade softens the bulb into a diffused glow rather than a hard point of light. It is a European-traditional silhouette that suits coastal and cottage exteriors without looking fussy.
Best for
- Front entryways and covered porches, flanking a door at 66-72 in on center
- Garage walls and side doors where a compact 7-inch-wide lantern fits between trim
- Coastal and lake homes - the Vivex body is non-corrosive and UV resistant
- Pairing in twos or fours along a facade for a matched exterior look
Not ideal for
- Large two-story facades or wide garage fronts - at 14 in tall this is a small-scale lantern
- Anyone wanting a bright wash of light - one 60W bulb behind water glass is accent-level output
- Installations where the bulb must be included - it is not
How bright is it?
672 lumens with the specified 60W bulb - roughly the output of a bright 60W incandescent. That is enough to light a doorway and read house numbers, but it is accent and safety lighting, not a floodlight for a driveway.
Light color and feel
2700K warm white - a soft, golden tone close to traditional incandescent, which flatters brick, stone, and wood siding. Dimmable with a standard dimmer if you want to lower it for evening ambience.
Sizing and fit
7 in wide x 14 in tall with a 7.5 in extension from the wall and an 8 in height from the center of the outlet. The 5.25 x 9.5 in backplate covers a standard junction box. Best on single-story entries and porches with 8-9 ft ceilings.

Frequently asked
Is the bulb included? No - it takes one 60W medium-base incandescent bulb, sold separately.
Is it dimmable? Yes, with a standard dimmer.
Can it be used outdoors in rain? Yes - it is wet safety rated, so it is fine on uncovered exterior walls.
What's the warranty? 3-year limited warranty.
Will the finish rust at the coast? The Vivex body is non-corrosive and UV resistant, which is why Maxim specifies it for coastal exposure.
