Maxim Drifter 52in 3-Blade Outdoor Hugger Ceiling Fan | Coastal Black and Driftwood ABS | Covered Patio & Deck | 52 x 52 x 10 in | Model 88771WTBKDW

A 52-inch wet-rated outdoor hugger ceiling fan with an integrated LED light kit, made for covered patios and decks with standard ceilings.

The Drifter captures the warmth of carved wood in a durable design built for outdoor living. Its three 52-inch ABS blades have sculptural depth and a graceful curve, bringing the character of solid wood with the resilience needed for patios and covered decks. The black and driftwood finish pairs a modern housing with wood-look blades, and the hugger configuration mounts close to the ceiling for low-clearance spaces. An included light kit with cover plate adds flexibility.

Best for

• Covered patios and decks 12 x 14 ft and larger, where a 52-inch span moves air across a seating area
• Porches with low or standard ceilings, thanks to the hugger mount and 8.4-inch blade-to-ceiling height
• Coastal and transitional exteriors that suit black housing with wood-look blades
• Outdoor lounging areas where the integrated LED adds ambient light after dark

Not ideal for

• Indoor-only installations where a wet-rated fan is unnecessary
• Very small patios under 10 x 10 ft, where a 52-inch span may feel oversized
• Spaces where you want a bright primary light - the integrated LED is ambient, not task lighting

How bright is it?

800 lumens - roughly as bright as a 60W incandescent bulb. That is enough to light a patio seating area softly, but it is ambient light rather than a primary room light.

Light color and feel

Selectable color temperature lets you choose 2700K warm white, 3000K soft white, or 4000K cool white from the included wall control. CRI 90 renders colors accurately, so wood tones and outdoor fabrics look true. The light is dimmable, and the 2-wire DC wall control manages fan speed, dimming, and color temperature.

Sizing and fit

Overall dimensions are 52 in L x 52 in W x 10 in H, with a 6.75 in square canopy and 80 in of wire. The 8.4-inch blade-to-ceiling height suits standard patios and porches. Six speeds and a reversible DC motor let you run it for summer cooling or winter air circulation.
