Description
A 1-light outdoor wall lantern in a bronze finish with seedy glass, built for porches, entryways, and other exterior walls.
The Dover VX collection brings a Mediterranean feel to outdoor lighting with its bronze finish and textured seedy glass. The fixture is made from Vivex, a material twice the strength of resin that is non-corrosive and UV resistant, so it stands up to weather without rusting or fading.
Best for
- Front entryways and porches, mounted beside the door for a welcoming glow
- Garage walls and side doors where a single lantern provides accent lighting
- Covered patios and outdoor living areas that need a traditional touch
- Homes with Mediterranean or Spanish-style architecture
Not ideal for
- Very large walls or two-story facades where a larger lantern would be proportionate
- Modern or minimalist exteriors that call for a sleeker fixture
- Areas that require a brighter primary light source - this is an accent lantern
How bright is it?
672 lumens when used with a 60W incandescent bulb - about as bright as a standard 60W bulb. It provides accent and ambient light for an entryway or porch, not enough to light a large driveway or yard on its own.
Light color and feel
With a 2700K incandescent bulb, the light is warm white, similar to traditional incandescent lighting. The seedy glass adds texture and softens the light slightly. The fixture is dimmable with a standard dimmer, so you can adjust the brightness to suit the evening.
Sizing and fit
The lantern measures 6.5 inches wide by 9.5 inches high with a 7.5-inch extension from the wall. It stands 4 inches from the center of the outlet to the top. The backplate is 5.25 inches wide by 6.25 inches high. This size suits single-door entries and smaller wall spaces; for double doors or large facades, consider a larger lantern or a pair.
