Description
A tall 3-light outdoor wall lantern in bronze with seedy glass, built for front entries and porches that need a warm, traditional welcome.
The Dover Cast lantern takes its cues from Mediterranean architecture: a die-cast aluminum body in a deep bronze finish, framed by seeded glass that softens and scatters the light. At 31.5 inches tall it reads as a statement piece beside a front door rather than a small accent, and the wet rating means it can take direct rain and weather year-round.
Best for
- Front entries and covered porches, mounted beside a single or double door
- Mediterranean, Spanish colonial, and traditional stucco exteriors
- Garage side doors and breezeways that need a substantial lantern
- Coastal homes where a wet-rated fixture is a must
Not ideal for
- Low porch ceilings - at 31.5 in tall it needs vertical clearance
- Modern or minimalist facades where an ornate lantern would clash
- Anyone wanting a bulb-free fixture - three candelabra bulbs are sold separately
How bright is it?
Rated at 2016 lumens with the specified bulbs - roughly the output of a bright 100W incandescent, enough to light a doorway and the steps around it. Output depends on the bulbs you install.
Light color and feel
2700K warm white, a soft golden tone that suits bronze and stone exteriors. Dimmable with a standard dimmer if you want to lower the level in the evening.
Sizing and fit
12 in wide x 31.5 in tall with a 15.5 in extension from the wall; the backplate is 7 x 15.75 in. Best on walls with at least 16 in of clear space beside the door and a ceiling or overhang high enough to clear the top.
