Description
A tall 3-light outdoor wall lantern in oriental bronze die cast aluminum with water glass, built for grand entries and two-story facades.
Carriage House DC leans into early American carriage-lamp styling: a deep oriental bronze finish over die cast aluminum, with water glass that softens and scatters the light. At 31 inches tall it is a statement piece, meant to anchor a large doorway rather than sit quietly beside it.
Best for
- Grand front entries and two-story facades that need a large-scale lantern
- Paired on either side of a wide double door
- Covered patios and porches - wet rated for direct weather exposure
- Traditional, colonial, and early American exteriors
Not ideal for
- Small doors or narrow sidelight walls - the 18.5 in extension projects well out from the wall
- Buyers wanting an integrated LED - this takes three candelabra bulbs, sold separately
How bright is it?
Three 60W candelabra bulbs give roughly 2016 lumens total - bright enough to clearly light a large entry and the walkway in front of it, comparable to a strong porch light rather than a decorative accent.
Light color and feel
Light color follows the bulbs you install; the 2700K spec refers to the reference incandescent. Warm white candelabra bulbs keep the traditional carriage look, and the water glass diffuses the glare. Dimmable with a standard dimmer when using dimmable bulbs.
Sizing and fit
14 in wide x 31 in tall with an 18.5 in extension and a 6.5 x 15.5 in backplate. The 15.5 in height from the center of the outlet centers the lantern on tall doors. Best on homes with high entries or generous wall space.
