Description
A 3-light outdoor wall lantern in golden bronze with water glass, built for front porches, entryways, and garage walls.
The Camden VX brings an Early American silhouette to the exterior of the house, with a golden bronze frame and textured water glass that softens the bulb glow. It is made of Vivex, a material Maxim describes as twice the strength of resin, non-corrosive, and UV resistant, so it holds up to sun and weather better than standard resin housings.
Best for
- Front entryways and covered porches, flanking a door in pairs
- Garage walls and side doors where a larger lantern suits the scale
- Homes in coastal or humid climates that want a non-corrosive housing
- Traditional and Early American exteriors in bronze or warm wood tones
Not ideal for
- Low-clearance spots - at 24 in tall with a 14 in extension, it needs open wall space
- Modern or minimalist facades that call for a slim, understated profile
- Anyone expecting bulbs in the box - they are sold separately
How bright is it?
With three 60W candelabra bulbs it produces roughly 2016 lumens, about the output of three 60W incandescent bulbs. That is strong accent and entry lighting - enough to light a doorway and the wall around it, not a substitute for a full porch lighting plan.
Light color and feel
Bulb-dependent. The listed 2700K color temperature is a warm white similar to traditional incandescent, which flatters brick, stone, and wood siding. It is dimmable with a standard dimmer when paired with compatible dimmable bulbs.
Sizing and fit
11 in wide x 24 in tall with a 14 in extension from the wall; the backplate is 5.5 in wide x 12 in tall and the center of the outlet sits 13.5 in from the top. Best on two-story entries or walls with at least 30 in of clear height above the mounting point.
