Maxim Builder Cast 8in 1-Light Outdoor Wall Lantern | Early American Empire Bronze and Clear Glass | Front Porch & Entryway | Model 1072CLEB

A 22-inch tall outdoor wall lantern in empire bronze with clear glass, built for front porches and entryways that need a warm, welcoming light.

The Builder Cast collection takes its cues from early American design, with a die-cast aluminum body finished in empire bronze and a clear glass shade that lets the bulb show through. It reads traditional without feeling fussy, and the dark bronze tone pairs naturally with brick, siding, and wood trim.

Best for

• Front porches and covered entryways, flanking the door at roughly eye level
• Garages and side doors where you want a matching traditional lantern
• Exterior walls on homes with early American or colonial styling
• Wet-rated locations, since this lantern carries a wet safety rating

Not ideal for

• Interior rooms - this is an outdoor lantern and the wet rating is wasted indoors
• Very small porches where a 22-inch-tall lantern would overwhelm the door frame
• Anyone expecting the bulb in the box - it is not included

How bright is it?

Rated at 1150 lumens with the specified 100W incandescent bulb - roughly the brightness of a strong porch light, enough to light a doorway and a few feet of walkway. It is an accent and safety light, not a floodlight for a large yard.

Light color and feel

2700K warm white, a soft golden tone close to traditional incandescent. That warmth flatters brick, wood, and bronze finishes. It is dimmable with a standard dimmer if you want to soften it in the evening.

Sizing and fit

The lantern measures 8 in wide, 22 in tall, and extends 9.25 in from the wall, with a 4.5 x 7 in backplate and 17.5 in from the center of the outlet to the top. That height suits single-story entries and standard door frames; on a very narrow porch, check the 9.25 in projection before ordering.
