Description
A 1-light outdoor wall lantern with a die-cast aluminum frame in empire bronze and clear glass, wet-rated for porches and entryways.
The Builder Cast lantern brings early American style to exterior walls with a sturdy die-cast aluminum build and a clear glass shade that lets the bulb shine through. The empire bronze finish adds a classic, slightly weathered look that suits traditional and colonial homes. It's a reliable choice for front doors, garages, and patio walls.
Best for
- Front porches and entryways beside a door, mounted at eye level
- Garage walls and side entries that need a welcoming light
- Covered patios and outdoor walkways (wet-rated for direct exposure)
- Traditional, colonial, or early American home exteriors
Not ideal for
- Indoor use in living spaces - this is an outdoor fixture
- Areas where you want a very bright security light - it provides moderate illumination
- Modern or minimalist exteriors that call for a sleek, contemporary look
How bright is it?
1150 lumens with a 100W incandescent bulb (not included) - about as bright as a strong porch light, enough to light a doorway and steps, but not a large yard.
Light color and feel
2700K warm white when used with a 2700K bulb - a soft, inviting glow similar to traditional incandescent. The clear glass shade maximizes output. Dimmable with standard dimmers when used with dimmable bulbs.
Sizing and fit
Measures 8 in wide x 12 in high with a 7 in extension from the wall. The backplate is 4.5 in square. Suitable for most exterior walls; check clearance for the 7 in projection.
