Description
A convertible 1-light pendant that also mounts as a semi-flush, in matte black with a tapered clear glass shade - made for foyers, entries, and rooms with limited ceiling height.
Bellmore takes the traditional foyer lantern and strips it back to essentials. Curved arms outline the shape of a classic bell while holding a tapered clear glass shade, so the fixture feels open and light rather than heavy. The matte black steel finish keeps it modern, and because it converts from pendant to semi-flush, you can use the same piece in a two-story entry or a standard-height hallway.
Best for
- Foyers and entryways - the classic lantern silhouette reads well as a first impression
- Hallways and stair landings where a flush or semi-flush mount is the only option
- Dining nooks and breakfast areas in transitional or modern farmhouse homes
- Rooms with 8-9 ft ceilings where a full pendant drop would hang too low
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or covered outdoor areas - this fixture carries a Dry safety rating
- Large rooms that need a statement centerpiece - at 11 in wide it is a modest scale
- Spaces where you want bright general lighting - one 60W bulb is ambient-level output
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulb you install. With a 60W-equivalent LED (about 800 lumens), it works as ambient light for an entry or hallway, not as the primary light for a large living room.
Light color and feel
Color temperature comes from the bulb, not the fixture. A 2700K-3000K bulb gives a warm, welcoming tone that suits foyers and dining areas; 3500K-4000K reads cleaner and more modern. The clear glass shade shows the bulb, so a decorative filament bulb is a good match.
Sizing and fit
The fixture measures 11 in wide by 13.75 in tall, with a 5 in canopy. As a pendant it hangs from 16 in minimum to 52 in maximum using the included 36 in chain and 120 in wire; as a semi-flush it mounts close to the ceiling. Item weight is 3.95 lbs.

Can I install this in a bathroom or outdoors? No. It is rated for dry locations only, so keep it indoors in a dry room.
What's the warranty? Warranty terms are not specified in the supplier data - check with Maxim Lighting for current coverage.
How does the pendant-to-semi-flush conversion work? The same fixture can be hung from the included 36 in chain as a pendant or mounted close to the ceiling as a semi-flush, so it fits both tall foyers and standard-height hallways.
