Description
A five-light dinette chandelier in brushed nickel with hand-blown satin opal white glass, sized for dining rooms and breakfast nooks.
The Somerville dinette chandelier gathers five hand-blown satin opal glass shades around a compact steel frame, giving a soft, even wash of light over a table without the fuss of a large traditional chandelier. The brushed nickel finish keeps it clean and neutral, so it works with stainless appliances, painted cabinetry, and cool-toned palettes. It is a transitional piece that bridges modern and traditional rooms.
Best for
- Dining rooms with tables that seat four to six
- Breakfast nooks and eat-in kitchens where a compact chandelier anchors the table
- Transitional and soft-contemporary interiors with brushed nickel or stainless hardware
- Rooms with 8- to 9-foot ceilings where a 24-inch diameter fixture fits comfortably
Not ideal for
- Large dining tables that seat eight or more - the 24-inch diameter is sized for smaller tables
- Rooms with very low ceilings if you need the full chain drop
- Spaces that call for an exposed-bulb industrial look - the opal glass shades soften and conceal the bulbs
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulbs you install. The fixture takes five 100W medium-base bulbs; with 100W-equivalent LEDs (about 1600 lumens each) it delivers roughly 8000 lumens total, more than enough as primary light over a dining table. Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer because bulbs are not included.
Light color and feel
Light color is set by your bulbs. The satin opal white glass diffuses each bulb into a soft, even glow with minimal glare, which flatters faces around a dining table. Warm-white bulbs (2700K-3000K) give a cozy, restaurant-like feel; cooler bulbs (3500K-4000K) read more contemporary. Dimmability depends on the bulbs and dimmer you pair with it.
Sizing and fit
The chandelier measures 24 inches in diameter and 13.25 inches in body height, with a 3-foot chain and 8-foot wire for hanging. The canopy is 5 inches in diameter. It suits 8- to 9-foot ceilings over dining tables and breakfast nooks; for taller ceilings, additional chain may be needed.

Frequently asked
Is the bulb included? No. The fixture requires five 100W medium-base bulbs, sold separately.
Is it dimmable, and what dimmer should I use? Dimmability depends on the bulbs and wall dimmer you install. Use dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer; the fixture ships without a dimmer.
Can I install this in a bathroom or outdoors? No damp or wet rating is specified by the manufacturer, so it is intended for indoor dry locations only.
What's the warranty? Warranty information is not specified by the manufacturer; please contact Livex for details.
Can I shorten the chain for a lower ceiling? Yes. The 3-foot chain can be shortened by removing links; the fixture can also be hung with less chain for lower ceilings.
