Description
A traditional 1-light outdoor post lantern in textured black with hand-blown clear water glass, designed for yard and driveway posts.
From the Oxford collection, this cast aluminum lantern brings antique styling and decorative scrollwork to your landscape. The textured black finish resists fingerprints and pairs naturally with brick, stone, and dark wood siding. Clear water glass adds vintage charm while letting the bulb's light read clearly from the street.
Best for
- Yard and driveway posts where a lantern marks the entrance to a property
- Traditional and Victorian-style homes with brick or stone facades
- Garden paths and walkways that need a welcoming pool of light at night
- Pairing with matching Oxford pendant and wall lanterns for a coordinated exterior
Not ideal for
- Mounting directly on a wall - this is a post-top lantern and requires a post (not included)
- Modern or minimalist exteriors that call for clean-lined, unornamented fixtures
- Low-lying areas prone to standing water or flooding
How bright is it?
Takes one 100W medium-base bulb (not included). Lumen output depends on the bulb you choose - a 100W-equivalent LED typically produces around 1600 lumens, enough to light a post and the surrounding path. Clear water glass spreads light evenly without harsh hotspots.
Light color and feel
Light color is set by the bulb you install. For a warm, welcoming glow, choose a 2700K-3000K bulb; for a crisper, more contemporary look, choose 4000K. The clear water glass keeps the bulb visible, so a decorative Edison-style bulb suits the vintage styling.
Sizing and fit
Overall height 19 in; 9.5 in diameter. Fits standard 3 in post (post not included). Weighs 4 lbs. Works on posts 6 ft or taller for proper clearance and visibility.
