Description
A 23-inch five-light pendant chandelier in black steel with a hand-crafted black fabric drum shade lined in silky white fabric, sized for dining rooms and kitchen islands.
The Birchwood pendant pairs a wide fabric drum with sweeping black chandelier arms inside, so you get the softness of a shade with the structure of a traditional chandelier. The black hardback exterior and white fabric interior create a clean two-tone effect that reads transitional - at home over a dining table or above an island in a modern-traditional kitchen.
Best for
- Dining rooms with tables roughly 4-5 ft wide, hung about 30-36 in above the tabletop
- Kitchen islands where a wide drum shade suits the room's proportions
- Bedrooms and living rooms with higher ceilings that can take a hanging fixture
- Open-concept spaces that need one fixture to anchor the dining zone
Not ideal for
- Low ceilings - the fixture is 17.5 in tall before any chain drop
- Very small rooms where a 23-inch drum would overwhelm the space
How bright is it?
Takes five 40W candelabra-base bulbs (B10 style). Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer and depends on the bulbs chosen - expect ambient and task-level light over a table rather than whole-room illumination.
Light color and feel
Color temperature follows your bulbs - 2700K for warm dining light, 3000K for a cleaner kitchen look. The white fabric interior diffuses output and reduces glare, while the black exterior keeps the look graphic. Dimmability depends on the bulbs and dimmer installed.
Sizing and fit
Overall 17.5 in high x 23 in diameter; the shade is 23 in diameter x 7 in high and the canopy is 5.125 in diameter x 0.75 in high. Includes 6 ft of electrical wire and 3 ft of chain, so hanging height is adjustable within that range. Rated for dry and damp locations.

What's the warranty? Warranty terms are not specified by the manufacturer.
How much chain is included? 3 ft of chain and 6 ft of wire, so you can set the drop to suit your ceiling.
