Description
A 12-inch three-light semi-flush mount in black steel with a hand-crafted black fabric drum shade lined in silky white fabric, made for bedrooms, hallways, and other rooms with standard-height ceilings.
The Birchwood semi-flush keeps the ceiling clear while still delivering a designed look: a black fabric hardback drum wraps a white fabric interior that bounces light back down softly. The black finish and transitional styling sit comfortably in both modern and traditional rooms, and the compact 12-inch footprint suits spaces where a full pendant would hang too low.
Best for
- Bedrooms and hallways with 8-9 ft ceilings where a hanging pendant would crowd the space
- Kitchen nooks and small dining areas that need soft ambient light without a long drop
- Entryways and foyers as a compact ceiling accent
- Pairs of matching fixtures down a hallway or in a pair of bedrooms
Not ideal for
- Large open rooms that need a primary light source - three 40W candelabra bulbs give accent-level output
- Spaces where you want the bulb visible - the fabric drum shade fully encloses the light
How bright is it?
Takes three 40W candelabra-base bulbs (B10 style). Lumen output is not specified by the manufacturer and depends on the bulbs you choose - plan on accent and ambient light rather than primary room lighting.
Light color and feel
Color temperature follows your bulbs, so you can pick warm 2700K for a cozy bedroom or 3000K for a cleaner hallway look. The white fabric interior softens and diffuses the light, and the black exterior keeps glare off the ceiling. Dimmability depends on the bulbs and dimmer you install.
Sizing and fit
Overall 10.25 in high x 12 in diameter; the shade is 12 in diameter x 5.5 in high and the canopy is 5.125 in diameter x 0.75 in high. At just over 10 inches tall it fits comfortably on 8-9 ft ceilings. Rated for dry and damp locations.

What's the warranty? Warranty terms are not specified by the manufacturer.
How low does it hang from the ceiling? About 10.25 inches overall, making it a good choice for standard 8-9 ft ceilings.
