Description
A 1-light pendant with a smoked glass shade and matte black metal accents, inspired by traditional Japanese lanterns for modern interiors.
Inspired by traditional Japanese lanterns, the Soji has a timeless silhouette. With many glass and metal-detailing finishes to choose from, it's easy to make the Soji fit your mood. This version features a smoked solid glass shade that creates ambiance that changes from day to night, paired with a matte black canopy and hardware.
Best for
- Kitchen islands 4-6 ft long, hung singly or in a row for ambient and task lighting
- Dining tables seating 2-4, centered 30-34 inches above the tabletop
- Entryways and foyers with ceilings 8-9 ft, as a warm welcome light
- Bedrooms as a bedside pendant over nightstands
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or covered outdoor areas - this fixture is rated for dry locations only
- Spaces requiring bright, direct task lighting - the smoked glass diffuses light softly
How bright is it?
With one 60W E26 bulb (not included), the fixture can deliver up to 600 lumens - about as bright as a 40W incandescent, ideal for accent or ambient light. The smoked glass reduces light output slightly.
Light color and feel
Bulb-dependent; the smoked glass adds a warm, moody tone. Choose warm white (2700-3000K) for a cozy, inviting glow. The glass diffuses light softly, reducing glare.
