Description
An 8-inch single-lamp pendant from the Castor Collection, finished in brushed nickel with a white interior, designed for dry-rated kitchen island and dining room task lighting.
The Castor pendant features a conical aluminum shade with a powder-coated brushed nickel exterior and a matte white interior for maximum light reflectance. Suspended by a cloth cable, this pendant suits contemporary and transitional interiors.
Best for
- Kitchen islands and breakfast bars, hung 30-36 in above the counter
- Dining rooms over tables, centered and hung 30-36 in above the tabletop
- Entryways and foyers as a statement pendant
- Living rooms in clusters for ambient lighting
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or covered outdoor areas - rated for dry locations only
- Spaces requiring very bright task lighting - uses a single 60W incandescent bulb (not included)
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulb used. With a standard 60W incandescent bulb, expect approximately 800 lumens - suitable for ambient or accent lighting over a kitchen island or dining table. Not sufficient as a primary room light for large spaces.
Light color and feel
Light color depends on the bulb chosen. For warm white, use a 2700K-3000K LED or incandescent bulb. The white interior helps reflect light evenly.
Sizing and fit
Measures 12 in height and 8 in diameter. The round canopy is 4.75 in diameter and 0.88 in high. Suitable for sloped ceilings. Works well in rooms with 8-9 ft ceilings.
