Description
A 5-light chandelier with Arts and Crafts styling in a distressed black finish, ideal for dining rooms and living rooms.
The Vara chandelier brings mission-inspired design with clean lines and a distressed black finish. Its open frame allows light to spread evenly, making it a statement piece for traditional or craftsman interiors.
Best for
- Dining rooms with tables 48-60 in long, hung 30-34 in above the table
- Living rooms and great rooms with 8-9 ft ceilings, as a central ambient light
- Entryways and foyers with a 2-story ceiling, hung on a chain (not included)
Not ideal for
- Bathrooms or covered outdoor areas - rated for dry locations only
- Spaces under 8 ft ceilings due to 23.75 in height
- Modern or ultra-minimalist interiors where the mission style may clash
How bright is it?
Uses 5 bulbs (not included) up to 60W each (300W total incandescent). Brightness depends on bulb choice; with 60W incandescent bulbs, expect approximately 5000 lumens total - suitable for a primary room light in medium to large spaces.
Light color and feel
Bulb-dependent; use warm white (2700-3000K) for a cozy, traditional ambiance. Not dimmable per spec, but dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer may allow dimming (check local codes).
