Description
A 16-inch diameter outdoor pendant in brushed nickel, designed for covered patios and porches with a steel shade.
The Kichler Seaside pendant brings coastal-inspired simplicity to outdoor living spaces. Its brushed nickel finish and steel shade offer durability and a classic look that complements lodge, country, and rustic themes. Rated for damp locations, it's ideal for covered areas where a touch of ambient light is needed.
Best for
- Covered patios and porches, hung 7-8 ft above the floor for ambient light
- Entryways with a covered overhang, providing a warm welcome
- Outdoor dining areas under a roof, suspended above a table
- Mudrooms or breezeways with damp-rated requirements
Not ideal for
- Wet or exposed outdoor areas without overhead cover - this fixture is damp-rated, not wet-rated
- Spaces requiring bright task lighting - the single 150W max bulb provides ambient illumination
- Rooms with ceilings under 8 ft if using the full 72-inch chain
How bright is it?
With a 150W max incandescent bulb (not included), this pendant can produce up to about 2200 lumens - similar to a bright living room light. For a softer glow, use a lower-wattage or dimmable LED bulb.
Light color and feel
The steel shade directs light downward and outward, creating a warm, inviting pool of light. Bulb color temperature is not specified; choose a warm white (2700K-3000K) bulb for a cozy outdoor ambiance. The fixture is not listed as dimmable, but using a dimmable bulb with a compatible dimmer may work - check manufacturer specs.
Sizing and fit
The pendant measures 16 inches wide and 13.25 inches high, with an overall height adjustable up to 88 inches using the included 72-inch chain and 36-inch wire. The backplate is 5 inches in diameter. Ideal for ceilings 8-10 ft high.
