Description
An 18-inch extension downrod in weathered steel powder coat, designed for ceiling fans to achieve optimal mounting height.
This Kichler downrod is made of steel with a weathered steel powder coat finish. It has a 1-inch outer diameter and is compatible with many Kichler ceiling fans. Use it to lower your fan to the ideal height for rooms with low to standard ceilings.
Best for
- Ceiling fans installed on vaulted or sloped ceilings, providing the necessary drop for proper airflow
- Rooms with 8-9 ft ceilings where a standard downrod is too short
- Replacing an existing downrod to adjust fan height for better performance
Not ideal for
- Ceiling fans with a different downrod diameter (check compatibility; this is 1 inch OD)
- Rooms with very high ceilings (over 12 ft) where a longer downrod is needed
Style and finish
The weathered steel powder coat finish offers a rugged, industrial look that complements many fan styles, especially those with bronze, nickel, or steel finishes.
Materials and care
Made of steel with a powder coat finish. Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals that may damage the finish.
